Description
In March this year, our Association signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding with the Uzbekistan Jewellery Industry Association, marking an important milestone in bilateral exchange and cooperation within the jewelry industry. To further deepen mutual understanding and promote collaboration, our Association hosted a delegation from the Uzbekistan Jewellery Industry Association on May 5, arranging a series of exchange and site-visit activities. The program was rich in content and yielded very positive outcomes.
At the first stop, the delegation visited our Association, where both parties exchanged gifts and held a discussion forum. In-depth exchanges were conducted on the current development of the jewelry industries in both regions, industry characteristics, and future directions for cooperation. This enhanced mutual understanding of the business environment and market opportunities.
The delegation then visited J-HUB to gain first-hand knowledge of testing services and the operations of the jewelry craftsmanship laboratories. They also toured the production facilities, followed by a professional sharing session arranged by Heraeus, which provided the delegation with deeper insights into relevant materials and technological applications. Our Association would like to express sincere gratitude for the valuable support and knowledge shared.
Subsequently, the delegation visited the Hong Kong Yee On Gems & Jewellery Fty Co Ltd for networking and was personally received by Chairman Mr. Wong Tat Wah. Mr. Wong shared his experience and market insights in the gemstone industry. The exchange was conducted in a warm and engaging atmosphere, with fruitful takeaways for all participants.
At the final stop of the itinerary, the delegation visited the Chow Tai Fook flagship store in Tsim Sha Tsui, gaining in-depth understanding of Hong Kong jewelry brands’ successful practices in retail management, brand building, and market development. The delegation was deeply impressed by the professionalism and international competitiveness of Hong Kong’s jewelry industry.
This exchange program has effectively strengthened ties with the Uzbekistan Jewellery Industry Association and laid a solid foundation for closer cooperation in trade, technology, and market development in the future. Looking ahead, our Association will continue to promote international exchange and work hand in hand with overseas industry partners to jointly foster the long-term development of the jewelry industry.
