Trade Commissioner and Consul of the Office of Thai Trade Commissioner, Mrs Chanunpat Pisanapipong, and Deputy Trade Commissioner and Vice Consul of the Office of Thai Trade Commissioner, Mr Niti Pratoomvongsa, visited HKJMA on 21 Oct and discussed with our executive directors and the Overseas Affairs Sub-committee the development and the future possible collaboration opportunities of the jewelry industry in Hong Kong and Thailand. They also introduced to each other the jewellery exhibitions to be held in November in both places: "JMA Hong Kong International Jewellery Festival" and "Bangkok Gem & Jewelry Fair (BGJF)".

Afterwards, they visited the J-HUB to learn more about our vision and practice for the sustainable development of the local jewelry industry. They have also introduced us a similar project “The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT)”, a public organisation providing certification services on gemstones and education on the craftsmanship and design of the jewelry. After the visit, both parties presented souvenirs to express their appreciation and wish for closer connection in the future.
