In the morning of 7 October, Mr Peter Lam, Associate Chairman of Overseas Affairs Sub-committee, visited Mrs Merve Yilmazcan, the Commercial Attaché Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey in Hong Kong, in Admiralty. They discussed the business opportunities and exhibitions in the jewelry industry of the two places, as well as possible modes of cooperation and exchange in the future. After the meeting, both sides presented souvenirs to Mrs Merve Yilmazcan as a token of appreciation.

Turkey, as the jewelry capital and Eurasian hub, has great potential for collaboration under the auspices of the Belt and Road Initiative. We look forward to a deeper and broader exchange and cooperation between the jewelry sectors in Hong Kong and Turkey.
