We were honored to have Dr. Bernard Chan Pak Li, Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, to visit our Association this morning. Our board of committee had a short meeting with Dr. Chan, with the major points as followed:

1. Reflecting the difficulties encountered by our jewelry industry, starting from the US-China trade war last year to the current pandemic situation, we have been facing problems including the shutdown of China factories, worldwide exhibition postponement/cancellation, and blocked logistics due to the epidemic;

2. Reporting the rescheduled arrangement of the Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong, from June to November, hoping the Government to get involved in it;

3. Introducing "J-Hub", the key development project of JMA in the coming year. We visited the site with Dr. Chan to have a quick look on the project progress;

4. Urging the Government to introduce more Anti-epidemic Fund measures to provide targeted assistance to the Hong Kong jewelry industry.
