Research & Development
1. Jewelry RFID System Development Scheme
J-Info RFID 3rd generation tags
In mid-2008, after continuous R & D, the special 3rd generation RFID tags were launched. It is transparent and suitable for the J-Info RFID system. It is more light, smaller and thinner (it is only 0.4mm thick), with a higher scanning power than the second generation.
J-info RFID Tray
After discussion with the jewelry tray manufacturer, CP Creation was selected to design jewelry tray specifically for placing J-Info RFID tags. There is a wide variety of RFID tags placement in each jewelry tray to suit different jeweler’s needs.
J-info Website
In order to allow customers to follow more closely the J-Info RFID development and the latest information, the J-Info RFID website is made. It includes the product information, service, updated news, activities, FAQ, consumer comment and order form. Just click the J-info RFID icon at www.jewelry.org.hk or directly visit www.jewelryeducation.hk/jinfo for details.

2. Implementation of Permanent Trust-Marked Jewelry e-ID System to Strengthen the Brand Image of "Made-in-HK jewelry"
Establishment of the e-ID management board

The Hong Kong Gemmological Association (GAHK), Hong Kong Accreditation Service and Hong Kong Productivity Council agreed to take part in the organization in writing.
Shenzhen electroplating factory tours

In order to introduce the latest Jewelry Technology, we invited HKPC to assist in arranging the electroplating factory visit in May. The tour included visiting two electroplating factories in Bao'an and Longgang, studying their precious metal plating, anhydrous ion plating, electrophoresis lacquer and polished surface treatment technologies. The delegation team, made up of around 30 members, were active in sharing experience. They found the factory tour rewarding.
