"ATA Carnet" Application Service
Assisting Members with the “ATA Carnet” Application Service
(Sum insured as high as HK$10 million for each member)
Since 1990, HKJMA has been helping members to apply for the “ATA CARNET Service” which includes the guarantees arrangement, the provision of professional advice on application documents, the free delivery of Carnet documents as well as the collection of returned Carnet and guarantees. The service greatly relieves our members of the burdens on the related arrangement in terms of finance, manpower and time.
Our Performance
From July 2010 to June 2011, the service was successful that:
1. Number of users is more than 280.
2. Nearly 1,000 applications were handled.
3. The amount of guarantees reached HK$1.1 billion.

What is an ATA Carnet?
The ATA Carnet is an international customs document that permits duty-free and tax-free temporary import of goods to more than one country for up to one year. ATA Carnets may visit one or more than one country. It covers commercial samples, professional equipment, goods for presentation or use at trade fairs, shows, exhibitions. Goods must be finished. Semi-finished goods and raw materials are not permitted.

Members' Welfare and Recreational Activities
For the purpose of reducing members’ production cost, HKJMA aggregates the bargaining power to ask the vendors the best quote, and subsidizes for organizing special / industry related courses / seminars to our members . We also regularly organize recreational and social activities in order to alleviate members’ burden and tightening the friendship among them.
Our Performance
During July 2009 to June 2010, HKJMA organized several recreational and social activities for members, they are:
