After the completion of the 3 compulsory subjects, and 6 elective subjects, the operational performance and analytical skills of students have been enhanced.

Up till now, more than 80 students graduated from the programme and obtained "Accredited Jewelry Design Professional (A.J.D.P.)" qualification. The fifth cohort students had graduated in May 2008. Their jewelry designs and branding knowledge had been greatly enhanced.
AJDP programme has been recognized as a "Qualification Course" and is an entry requirement to the Executive Diploma in Management (Jewelry).

In May 2006, HKJMA commissioned the "Management and Executive Development Centre (MEDC) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)" to conduct a jewelry manpower study on human resources profile and resources-based capabilities of the Industry. The research further extends the horizon of the previous one, and concentrates on the manufacturing and design workforce covering the scopes of laborer's competencies (skills and knowledge), manpower demand forecast, salary trends, and technology applications. The manpower report was completed and published in September 2007 and has been sent to various government departments, tertiary institutions, Hong Kong and Mainland jewelry trade associations and our corporate members. At this stage, we have received some feedbacks.
