Course Description

GIA Hong Kong offers our members a special discount on GIA Pearl Grading Lab Class. Upon completion of this class, participants will receive a letter of completion. Class contents are as follow:
1. The differences between natural and cultural pearls
2. The skills for grading cultured pearls
3. Post-harvest treatments, imitation pearls and pearl-testing practices
4. GIA’s 7 Pearl Value Factors™: size, shape, color, luster, surface quality, nacre quality and matching
5. Discover akoya, freshwater, South Sea, and Tahitian cultured pearls
